Poinsettia
Poinsettia
Poinsettia is a popular houseplant popularly associated with Christmas. Native to Mexico, this historically red and green plant is now often found in hues of white, cream, salmon, yellow, and pink, thanks to its rapid hybridization. The shrub, also known as Mexican flameleaf, consists of clusters of tiny yellow flowers surrounded by large floral bracts. It thrives in full to partial sun exposure and in neutral to acidic, loamy, and well-drained soil.
