Salvia
Salvia
Salvia, a highly accommodating member of the mint family, consists of more than 1000 species including rosemary, sage, thyme, lavender, and basil. The plants within the Salvia genus are herbs, shrubs, deciduous plants, and evergreens. The flowers erupt as colorful spikes of densely packed tubular blooms at the head of the plant. The best potting method would be in ordinary gardening soil with extra perlite to allow rapid drainage of water.
