The Alternanthera Parrot Leaf, also known as the Calico Plant and Joseph’s Coat, is the perfect choice for a landscape plant or carpet-better in a garden. The fast-growing tropical herb grows up to 2 feet tall and 2 feet wide. While the plant does have flowers of cream or off-white color, the plant’s leaves are the real attraction- ranging a variety of colors from pink to red, white to cream, purple, and various shades of green. Some other cultivars of the alternanthera plant have overhanging stems, making them an interesting choice for hanging baskets.
