Crown Of Thorns
Euphorbia Milii
Euphorbia Milii, commonly known as Crown of Thorns, is a species of flowering plant native to Madagascar. The species name commemorates Baron Milius, the governor of Réunion, who introduced the species to France in 1821. The name ‘Crown of Thorns’ originates from the myth that Jesus Christ’s thorny crown was made from sections of this plant. The plant itself is heat tolerant and drought resistant and blossoms beautifully in full sun in warm climates. In ideal climates, the flowers blossom year-round in hues ranging from pink to yellow to bicolor.
